Our Story

The fish knows when it is out of water, so do you when you are short of news.

We therefore strive to let you know.

10 years ago, a couple of communication students formed a group through which they could advance and train on their writing skills. They devoted themselves to writing stories showcasing campus events and lifestyle. Their passion saw them share their stories on campus and hostel notice boards. They soon had masses crowding to get a read.

It was here that the term ‘legacy’ was coined as they wanted to leave a mark on their fellow students. The group has since been registered as a club in the office of the Dean of Students. The idea was reinforced more to the fact that campus syllabus is in a form of rotation where one lot leaves and another joins to get an already continuing one. The ongoing lots thus had to pass on its writing and leadership skills to a forthcoming lot which did the same to the lot after them. We’ve been doing that ever since.

We’ve grown to believe that anyone can write as much as they can lead. Our passion rests on mentoring writers and leaders. With our five year experience, we can ably guide and teach writers to deliver compelling content and newsworthy stories. Feel free to submit your article to our Editorial Team.

At Legacy we’re quite dependent on critics from our readers and the unending desire to leave an impact on their lives. If you have an idea that can help us improve on our legacy we’d like to hear it. This also allows you to ask us anything.

Before we went online, our audience comprised students, lecturers and subordinate staff within campus.  We are currently trying to reach out to the world. Subscribe to our daily newsletters and be a part of this adventure.
